RIYADH: In a statement, the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen disputed claims by Houthi militants that it carried out airstrikes on Yemen’s Al-Dhale province, stressing that the coalition has not flown any sorties since the truce went into force.
According to a statement issued by Saudi state news agency, the coalition adopts and supports all steps to sustain the peace between Yemeni parties.
The UN-mediated cease-fire went into force on April 2 and was extended for another two months in June. The cease-fire has resulted in a dramatic decrease in violence and the restoration of commercial flights from Sanaa airport and fuel ships to Hodeidah port.
