DUBAI: Noura bint Mohammed al-Kaabi, the UAE’s Minister of Culture and Youth, has stated that investing in young people and empowering them to contribute to their countries and communities is the foundation of a nation’s development.
“Youth are our actual capital and the most important tool in our path to construct a sustainable future.” “It is critical to include them in crucial decision-making roles now in order to prepare them for future leadership positions,” she said in a statement on the occasion of International Youth Day, which is observed annually on August 12.
She stated that the UAE government is eager to hear the opinions of young people and encourage them to realize their aspirations.
According to state news agency WAM, the National Strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries is one of the policies that allows the UAE to invest in young talent and “helps cultivate creativity and harness their energy to strive towards a sustainable future.”
The UAE has also developed projects and established specialized organizations to meet the needs of young people.
This includes the establishment of the Federal Youth Authority (FYA), which executes 35 youth initiatives around the country through 15 creative youth hubs to involve the young population in all sectors of society.
According to the minister, the UAE is likewise interested in young individuals from all around the world.
“This is why Arab youth have picked the UAE as the finest place to live and work for the past ten years.” It demonstrates that the country’s strategy of attracting and caring for creative kids, as well as providing them with a favorable atmosphere, is bearing fruit and strengthening the capacities of both the country and the youth,” she said.
