Jakarta, Indonesia – Bintang Puspayoga, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, emphasized the importance of positive parenting and education for children in order to support their optimal growth and development.
“We know that the environment in which children grow influences the quality of their development. The role of parents as the primary caregivers is critical in providing positive parenting “The minister mentioned this in a video speech she gave at a media gathering here on Thursday.
According to Puspayoga, providing positive parenting and education to children is important because it affects the future quality of the Indonesian nation.
“Investing in human resources is one of the keys to realizing an advanced Indonesia,” she said.
According to Puspayoga, the responsibility of providing positive parenting and education should not be imposed solely on the mother, but should be carried out in collaboration between the mother and father.
“Parenting is the responsibility of both the father and mother. This means that the ability of fathers and mothers to maintain, educate, and instill (values to build) the child’s character determines the quality of parenting,” she made a remark.
According to the minister, parents must be sensitive to their children’s needs and be able to respond appropriately by prioritizing the children’s best interests.
She stated that her ministry had collaborated with other stakeholders to create several programs to improve the role of mothers and families in providing positive parenting and education for children.
Among these are the Family Learning Center (Puspaga) Program, which has now been expanded to the district and city levels. The program includes lessons for both fathers and mothers to help them understand the value of education and positive parenting. Furthermore, the program serves as a means of providing consultation and assistance to Indonesian families.
Furthermore, the ministry provides women with training and entrepreneurship assistance in order to empower and economically independent them.
Furthermore, the ministry operates the Women and Children Friend call center, which provides psychological services to women and children who have been victims of violence or who are suffering from mental health issues.
“I’m hoping we can all move together. Let us pool our resources to support, share, inspire, and motivate one another. The Indonesian nation can make progress by working together and empowering one another “said the minister.
