SULAIMANIYA: Police and hospital officials reported two people were injured in a vehicle bombing in the northern Iraqi city of Sulaimaniya on Thursday, a relatively rare attack in a major city in Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region.
According to a security source, police sealed off a roadway in central Sulaimaniya where the parked car bomb exploded, and “an immediate inquiry has been launched” to establish the target of the strike.
