TEHRAN – Iran has named Alireza Enayati as its ambassador to Saudi Arabia, according to Iran’s Mizan news agency, following a deal mediated by China in April between Tehran and Riyadh that ended years of political stalemate between the two countries.
According to Iran’s judiciary’s news outlet Mizan, Alireza Enayati worked as an assistant to the foreign minister and director-general of Arabian Gulf affairs at the ministry.
