A passenger bus crashed into a ravine in southwestern Pakistan on Sunday, killing 20 passengers, according to a government official.
According to Ijaz Jaffar, deputy commissioner of Sherani district, the bus was carrying 13 persons from Rawalpindi, the garrison city, to Quetta, the capital of southwestern Balochistan province.
The ravine is located approximately 350 kilometers north of Quetta.
In Pakistan, fatal traffic accidents are frequently caused by poor road infrastructure and reckless driving.
Several Chinese projects are located in the province as part of an investment plan in which Beijing seeks road and maritime trade links with the rest of the globe.
