The seminar which lasts for two days will discuss geosynthetic & geotextile products. The Solmax Geosynthetics Seminar will be held at the JADE Room, 16th Floor of the Grand Sudirman Building, Golden Tulip Hotel, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

The seminar on the first day Tuesday (11/07/2023) at 08.00 – 17.00 WIB carried the theme “Geosynthetics Applications for the Development of IKN” which discussed the application of geosynthetic products for the development of IKN.

The second day of the seminar Wednesday (12/07/2023) at 08.00 – 17.00 WIB carried the theme “Geosynthetics Applications for Mining Infrastructure” or the application of geosynthetic products for the mining sector.

The seminar on the second day presented keynote speakers from related agencies such as the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and experts from Solmax Geosynthetics.

According to PT Solmax Geosynthetics Indonesia Country Manager Doyo Lujeng Dwiarso, the seminar was very suitable for the location of the seminar, namely in East Kalimantan as the location for the construction of the IKN.

“The two topics of the seminar are very suitable for the location where the seminar takes place, namely the construction of the IKN which is currently underway intensively and requires solutions in dealing with geotechnical problems by using geosynthetic products that are sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Such as high tensile strength geotextiles used to strengthen road embankments and protection materials that can immediately grow vegetation on the slopes in the National Capital project.” Doyo Lujeng Dwiarso explained to the editor.

Likewise in the mining sector, according to Doyo Lujeng Dwiarso, the Kalimantan region is a location where there are many coal and mineral mining activities.

So according to him, it requires material technology that can support infrastructure work such as making mine roads, preparing land and handling tailings.

Doyo Lujung Dwiarso added that the seminar was part of an effort to increase Solmax’s contribution to Indonesia in the civil and environmental infrastructure sector where Solmax itself has been present for about 25 years in Indonesia.

“This seminar is part of an effort to increase Solmax’s contribution which has been present for more than 25 years in Indonesia, namely by participating in advancing the civil and environmental infrastructure sector through products such as geomembrane, woven & nonwoven geotextile, geogrid, GCL, prefabricated vertical drain ( PVD) and erosion protection.

Solman currently covers well-known brands, namely GSE, Mirafi, Polyfelt, Miragrid, Geotube Bentoliner, Propex and Alidrain,” said Doyo Lujeng Dwiarso.
