LONDON: The Halal Products Development Company (HPDC) from Saudi Arabia recently wrapped up its participation in the Halal Expo London 2023, a major global event centered around halal products.

HPDC, an entity fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, sealed a significant partnership with Malaysia’s Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) aimed at fostering the growth of the halal industry within Saudi Arabia and worldwide.

Under the terms of the agreement, both entities will share insights into leading practices and successful models within the halal industry.

Fahad S. AlNuhait, CEO of HPDC, stated, “Through our partnerships and strategic agreements, HPDC endeavors to connect vendors, distributors, and businesses in the global halal market. This groundbreaking agreement allows us to pool resources and make a substantial impact on industry expansion.”

“Our goal is to create a vibrant ecosystem in Saudi Arabia that not only boosts the local economy but also attracts international investors and amplifies halal trade worldwide,” he emphasized.

The collaboration between these two organizations will persist in engaging with key stakeholders in the global halal sector, working collectively to shape a transparent and efficient halal ecosystem.

Hairol Ariffein Sahari, CEO of HDC, commented, “This partnership goes beyond business alignment; it embodies a joint vision to elevate the global halal industry to unprecedented levels.”

“Drawing from HDC’s extensive experience in building a comprehensive halal ecosystem, we aim to offer specialized advice, investment strategies, innovation collaboration, technology transfer, and share industry-leading insights,” he added.

“HDC is confident in providing an operational model that is effective and sustainable, delivering substantial benefits not only to Saudi Arabia but also leaving a positive impact on a global scale,” Sahari concluded.
