BANGKOK – Thailand’s government expects export growth of 10% this year, which will be a significant driver of Southeast Asia’s second-largest economy, according to the finance minister on Monday.
The economy is forecast to increase by 5% per year in the last three quarters of the year, for a total of 3.5% for the year, according to Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith during a business seminar. He expects government expenditure and a revival in tourism to help.
