The US continues to warn that Russia might attack Ukraine in a matter of days. This warning was sent in the midst of rising tensions in the region.
President Joe Biden told reporters on Thursday that the threat level has risen to “extremely high.” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken pushed Moscow on Thursday to pledge to no invasion.
Over 150,000 Russian troops are believed to be stationed near Ukraine’s borders.
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin, some troops have begun to depart.
However, contrary to Moscow’s allegations, Biden told reporters that more Russian military had moved in.
It is uncertain whether Putin has decided to strike his former Soviet neighbor.
Russia has rejected any plans to invade and has reaffirmed its demand that the United States and NATO prevent Ukraine from joining the armed alliance.
