NANNING – On September 15, the China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CEEC) Green and Low-Carbon Development Forum, a sub-event of the 19th China-ASEAN Expo, was held in Nanning, south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The CEEC attended the China-Asean Expo for the first time as the primary strategic partner.
Participants in the forum engaged in in-depth discussions about emerging trends in digital intelligence integration in the energy industry, laying a solid foundation for future multi-level and multi-sector energy cooperation between China and Asean.
During the 19th China-Asean Expo and China-Asean Business and Investment Summit, the CEEC signed seven contracts totaling 13.5 billion yuan (USD1.9 billion) with clients from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines in the sectors of wind power, photovoltaic power, industrial park, and mining.
The member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) represent a significant overseas market for the CEEC.
The group has established 76 branches in Asean nations and completed a number of benchmark projects in these countries, including the Yeywa Hydropower Station in Myanmar, the Hengyi PMB refinery and petrochemical project in Brunei, and the Java 7 project in Indonesia.
In the previous three years, the CEEC has signed contracts worth over 150 billion yuan with Asean countries, including the Philippines, to provide digital, green, and low-carbon solutions for their development.
The CEEC will continue to adopt the green and low-carbon development ideology and offer its strength to developing China-Asean economic cooperation and boosting the economic and social development of Asean nations.
