Jakarta, Indonesia – Jalal Mirzayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Indonesia, stated that Indonesia’s commitment to regional peace and stability has made it a trusted and loyal partner in the international arena.

“Its initiatives and approaches to international problem resolution undoubtedly make Indonesia a trustworthy and reliable partner in the international arena,” Ambassador Mirzayev told ANTARA here on Wednesday (August 16).

He made the statement in response to Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s speech at the 2023 Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), in which he stated that the international community has high trust in Indonesia because of its democratic principles and efforts to maintain diversity.

Mirzayev emphasized that the world community’s faith in Indonesia has been demonstrated by its G20 leadership and ASEAN chairmanship this year.

He went on to say that Azerbaijan has seen Indonesia’s active participation in addressing and finding answers to global issues such as food, energy, and climate change.

“Some recent examples include the official launch of the Pandemic Fund and the Bali Energy Transition Road Map, both of which were realized during Indonesia’s G20 presidency,” he continued.

On the eve of Indonesian Independence Day, Ambassador Mirzayev congratulated and bestowed his best wishes on the Indonesian people.

“May your country be blessed with constant peace, prosperity, and success,” he wished.

In terms of bilateral relations, Mirzayev stated that collaboration between the two countries has grown in recent years.
